As part of a growing alternative energy initiative in Maryland, Carroll Brothers was pleased to participate in this project for Constellation Energy.

This twelve acre Eastern Shore solar energy farm is to provide Solar Renewable Energy Credits for The Baltimore Aquarium.

We were tasked with the duty of digging the trenches in between the solar panel framework. Within these trenches, electrical conduit lines were laid to be connected to the solar panels.

We then backfilled and graded the property for proper drainage and easy accessibility for the next stage of the project. This allows for the next contractors to be able to easily install the solar panels.

Upon completion of this project, The Baltimore Aquarium will be working toward utilizing a more sustainable energy source.

Using alternative energy is not only more environmentally friendly, it is also cost effective. Once in operation, this “solar energy farm” will allow for building of Solar Renewable Energy Credits which will go back into the commercial energy grid.
