Read more →As you can tell from the picture below the pool hadn’t been touched in a long time, and was in the only flat portion of the backyard, re-gaining this area for yard would be perfect for the family. The entire structure had to be demolished and Carroll Bros. Contracting were able to break up the existing concrete to use as back fill, by mixing it in with dirt at the bottom of the pool. Carroll Bros. Contracting then hauled in dirt and compacted it in 6 inch layers, followed by a layer of topsoil and seed and straw.

Read more →Another one of our recent projects was an inground concrete pool removal in Annapolis, Maryland. The homeowners had lived in the house for many many years and had the pool installed over 30 years ago. However, as they aged, they have realized that a swimming pool was no longer needed. Additionally, it was becoming a hassle to maintain because of all the mature trees in the neighbor’s yards that surrounding them. The trees also made it difficult for the pool to heat up in the summertime. Also, the existing grading around the swimming pool made it harder to cut grass and maintain the yard. Once the homeowners contacted Carroll Brother Contracting, we began to formulate a plan for the pool removal.

This property owner contacted us while we were working on the first pool and explained that he had been looking for a company to remove his pool. This swimming pool was in bad shape and had not been used for years. The homeowner also wanted additional space for his dog which was the main reason for getting rid of the pool. Once the homeowner got in touch with Carroll Brothers Contracting, we immediately go to work on planning the pool removal.

And, ultimately the cost to repair the pool was too significant for the homeowner. It ended up making more sense for the homeowners to remove the vinyl liner pool, which ended up being a lot less expensive. So, they called upon Carroll Brothers Contracting to formulate a plan to remove their pool. The results of the project met all expectations.
